So my friend over at this place ‘tagged’ me, so now I’m supposed to list 7 songs I’m currently into and why, regardless of any type of classification…
Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard Simon and Garfunkel – I’ve always loved this song, it makes me think of my brother and sister, and The Royal Tenenbaums, and being mischievous in general, and our team slide show. All good things.
Friday I’m in Love The Cure – The Cure was cool in the 80’s and I most definitely was not.
Rebellion (Lies) The Arcade Fire – This is a pretty rockin’ song, and reminds me of going to the Sasquatch Festival last year with Ashley.
Death of an Interior Decorator Death Cab for Cutie – This is from an album I just can’t get enough of. It’s sort of a quirky song but there’s this one part when he’s singing “…it felt just like falling in love, again…” and when he repeats the line another voice joins in for “again” and the harmony is beautiful. I love it.
Sweet Baby James James Taylor – A great song. A great man. Reminds me of childhood and makes me feel at home.
Black Tambourine Beck – This always makes me want to dance, and that barely ever happens.
Decatur, or, Round of Applause for Your Step-Mother! Sufjan Stevens – Sufjan Stevens is a genius, and I like the lyrics.
I won’t officially tag anyone else, but would love to hear from anyone who is willing to contribute- you can put your list on your own blog or leave it as a comment.

Alright, I'll give it a shot...
1.The Valley Song (Sing of Your Mercy) by Jars of Clay - I love this song. Jars of Clay is probably the only "Christian" group that I actually really like. They are amazing musicians and Dan Haseltine has one of the most incredible voices today.
2.Penguins by Lyle Lovett - Such a fun song. Who doesn’t like penguins?
3. Supersition by Stevie Wonder - Probably one of the best funky rhythms I’ve heard. And no, I’m not a funk expert, but I still like this one. It is, however, the ONLY Stevie Wonder song I dig.
4.Against All Odds by The Postal Service - A great remake of a classically cool 80’s song. Didn’t think those existed did you?
5.A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash - Dude, it’s Johnny Cash. That’s why.
6.I Got the Feelin’ by James Brown - Same reasoning as above...it’s James Brown, man. Baby, baby, baby...
7.Hangin’ Around by Counting Crows - I had this song stuck in my head for a few weeks. I finally broke down and bought it on iTunes. Totally brings back a lot of fun summertime memories.
Oh, I could totally keep going. Here’s a bonus: Stay with Me by Faces - Laugh all you want, (and no, I’m so not a Rod Stuart fan) this song is totally catchy.
Thanks for the list, good songs. I would like to state that I am actually a closet Rod Stewart fan. And when I was in kindergarten my favorite song was Stevie Wonder's I Just Called to Say I Love You. Now that I'm older, I recognize that Superstition is a far superior song.
Here's Francine's list, check it out:

Can't you just feel the buzz, the groundswell of popularity and responses being generated? Doesn't it make you want to participate? No?
Well, you should do it anyway. Because it's always cool to be reminded of songs you'd forgotten about and be introduced to new ones that you might not ever find on your own.
Huzzah! The meme has taken on a life of its own.

Oh, and by "not specifically tagging anyone" and leaving it open to "anyone who is willing to contribute" I did specifically mean you. Amie, Brian, Michelle, Taylor, Pete, any of the four Matts...etc.
Dude, seriously...where is everybody?
