Obey my dog! or, Under Pressure

“...pushing down on me, pushing down on you…” It’s too bad the beginning of that song always makes me think of Vanilla Ice. Anyway, I’ve been feeling a lot of pressure over the last few days (even longer, probably). But the source involves a combination of personal issues, other people, and sensitive topics, so I won’t go into all that here.

What I will say, though, is that according to the Ideal Gas Law: nRT = PV, where T is in Kelvins and P is in atmospheres, temperature increases with pressure. I take that to mean that, with all of this pressure, I’m definitely getting hotter and hotter by the day. Sweet.

either that or less volume every day, have you noticed a sudden decrease in the amount of cubic meters you take up of volume? if not you must be getting hotter. it has to be one of those two or you are not an ideal gas.
anyway, where did you learn about the ideal gas law, that is even more baffeling to me! wasn't your major something to do with the world or something like that?

Dear anonymous:
I didn't delete the comment that was here, it said "deleted by author" so whoever posted it originally must have retracted it... However, I did delete a comment that was left for the 'Timmy' post because it was a stupid mass advertisement thing for game system deals. Probably because I mentioned Nintendo or something.

Dear Pete,
Where did I learn about the Ideal Gas Law? Well, young Jedi, as my major was, in fact, "Something to do with the World" it left a lot of room for exploration. In the end I ended up learning just about everything there is to know about the world, including the Ideal Gas Law. And we musn't forget Avogadro's constant- so helpful in everyday life!

your logic is flawless. Its refreshing to see missionaries with such a commanding grasp of science.

Wait, so what happened? Are you still "in country"? Is deportation still imminent?

‘Commanding grasp’ might be overstating it a little. Although playing a few rounds of “Animal, Mineral, or Vegetable?” is necessary from time to time when exploring the wilds of the mission field here.

I have no idea what any of that means.
